Scroll of Parthax's Binding

This scroll contains the true name of Parthax. It contains a powerful ritual spell which would render him completely helpless if executed correctly, allowing him to either be killed outright, or compelled to obey whoever cast the scroll’s binding.

The Courier gave the scroll to Tallendryl. He was to deliver it to “a man in a yellow hat” in Axis in exchange for a scroll of mass teleportation to get him and the rest of the party into the city instantly. Once inside, the man in the yellow hat turned out to be the Courier again. Tallendryl honored the agreement, but then instantly turned on the demon. After a battle, the scroll was recovered by Tallendryl once again.

Later, Draven Halfhand approached the wizard and offered to buy the item in exchange for a chest full of gold and Crusader loot. In an attempt to do the right thing, but to also get the treasure, Tallendryl managed to teleport Elandra to the scene, conduct the trade, and then alert her to the danger that the scroll posed to her master. Draven dispatched the minotaur with extreme ease when she confronted him, and proceeded directly to Second Blood. The party pursued him there, and upon finding themselves inside a stronghold full of Crusaders and a wildly powerful fighter in Draven, Lan’Lei opted to summon the Stone Thief in order to ensure that the scroll could not be used against the dragon. The living dungeon indeed appeared, and swallowed up a fifth of the city, along with everything in Second Blood- Draven, the scroll, hundreds of Crusaders, and the Crusader, himself.
